System Integration 101

Over the past several weeks Omrinet has been dealing more and more with integrated installations not only for Houses of Worship but also healthcare facilities. As commercial contractor's and owners begin realizing the impact that integration has on the cost and time efficiencies, they continue to see the additional benefits such as single-point contact for support after installation, ease of use for employees, and better records of system and network details.
Because Omrinet installs basically any system that uses low voltage cabling, we install and maintain every wire that doesn't belong to the electrical system. That means you only have two subs on site for wiring, Omrinet and your electrician. We pride ourselves on being excellent co-workers with electricians and have much experience dealing with the nuances of electrical work, working around their areas, and dealing with the personnel opportunities that are always present. The better two sub-contractors can work together, the better the overall installation and final product.
Also, more and more systems are beginning to be designed as unified systems. For instance, an IP phone system that can be remotely configured or maintained because it is on the same network as the IP security camera system, wireless infrastructure, and ethernet network. The administration or management of the organization is no longer using multiple computers to see camera footage for an incident, check their email, scan documents to a shared folder, set up new phone system call tree datum, etc.
This integration is even more critical for churches. So often I see poorly designed analog sound systems that require thousands of dollars of additions or alterations to be tied into a separate mixer set up for TV or internet broadcast. Omrinet wants to reduce your overall cost of installation yet use the most advanced equipment available. Better equipment is often cheaper because you are buying fewer pieces. Each piece may not be cheaper, but the entire project comes in at a lower cost because everything is so well integrated.
If you are looking to install a new system of any kind and want to make sure that it works well with future plans of new equipment as well as current systems, contact Omrinet, we would love to show you just how well your systems can work for you.
